REFU Drive GmbH was founded as a 50:50 joint venture between Bharat Forge Ltd. (Now Kalyani Powertrain Ltd. – A Wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharat Forge Ltd.) and the pioneer of frequency converters, REFU Elektronik GmbH, to advance the development and global marketing of power electronics for all-electric and hybrid drive solutions. This partnership enables Kalyani Powertrain Ltd. to develop, manufacture and market controllers and components which mainly includes drives, invertors, converters (including AC/DC), related power electronics and battery management systems for all kinds of cleaner vehicles including hybrid as well as electric 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, cars and commercial vehicles.

Tevva’s battery trucks are range-extended that comfortably meets (and exceeds) demanding duty cycles for a variety of urban transport functions, and is the first in a sequence of vehicles that is built at Tevva London, other HQ and manufacturing site in London Distribution Park, Tilbury.

The BEV, first unveiled in September 2021, is a fully flexible chassis cab suitable for a full range of body fitments and duty cycles. Whether one’s need is ambient, temperature controlled, tail-lift, tipper, crane or curtain-side, the Tevva zero-emission truck is the answer.

Kalyani Powertrain Ltd. holds close to 10% stake as a strategic investor in Tevva Motors, which provides it the rights for the commercial usage of technologies developed by Tevva Motors within India.

Kalyani Powertrain Ltd. holds 70% stake as a strategic investor in Electroforge Ltd. and the rest 30% is held by Harbinger Motors Inc.”
